Hello! I am finally starting custom scenery! thanks for the logo Z! so far, it has 1 item! heres a pic:



unfortunately, im getting confused importing it. ive read several guides on it, and it seems people have several different ideas on what to do, how to do it, or i (unfortunately) didnt understand. so far, I believe this is correct:



its the rest that im confused about. mostly the flags, icons, and unknowns. what exactly should i use for the icons? where should i put the measurements above? what should the flags+unknowns be? why isnt there anything under location within the theme? are these text strings correct?



help please! i can post the model file if need be.

Ok, the location within the theme thing, you just name your object, so put the object name in it.
Ok beside these "unknowns" put what I say:

Unknown 1: 0 (unknown 1)
Unknown 2: 2 (unknown 3)
Unknown 3: 1
Unknown 4: 2
Unknown 5: 0
Unknown 6: 0
Unknown 7: 0
Unknown 8: Under this, there is a "disable unknown 8" button, click the box.
Unknown 9: 1

For the icon under "group" that is going to be the icon for the one object, so if you have your icon, click the arrow going down and select the first one in there, for the icon under "scenery" that is going to be the icon for the entire set, so when you have it, click the arrow going down and select the second one on the list.
The position X, Y and Z should all be 0. The size for X, Y and Z are going to be 4.
Now for the flags, count the number of boxes going across, select box number 3, 4, 8, 14, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46

I'm not sure about the text strings, I think they look right.

I hope this made sense.

Hey lego3366, Welcome to the CS world. Have fun, and happy creating, so far so good, as for your questions above, IT'S NEW!!--check out my tutorial thread in the CS forum about the basic uses of the importer!!!
Question, Are you using in-program textures or are you applying your own?
Here is a pic. of what an icon sheet should look like, I hope this helps you!

it definitly helps, the only problem is getting the pic of the object in the first place to use! plus, Z is workin on my logo, so that might take a bit...

im hopin to get it ingame tonight, that way, one of my major projects is finished (i got a couple school things too, i hope they wont take long!).

EDIT: it took longer than I hoped, but I did it! pic:



im gonna fix it now, i thought i fixed that face there^ and for some reason the icon sheet isnt working...but at least its in game!

lego3366, If all possible, can you get an in-game pic. of the menus dropdown list, and show me what your icon looks like in game. maybe i can figure out your problem looking at it first............................

make sure the icon sheet is 512x512, and the icons are 64x64....if you'd like, send me both pictures, your logo pic, and the icon pics that you want on the icon sheet, and i'll make it for you. this won't be a problem to me, just easy! i did get the other file, and textures, if i can get your icon sheet done, then i can just add it in the importer..... C-freak

P.S. Put all files, and textures in one folder and then put it in a .ZIP file, that way i'm not downloading 4-5 different things, i can get them all at once! Thanks C-freak

lego3366, I haven't forgotten about you, i am however coming to a halt on this project, i can't seem to find what the problem is, every time i think i got it figured out, something else happens, then i think i got that figured out, then something else crashes.....pulling my 4 feet of hair out of my head........if you could send a non textured guitar stall that would be great for me to start from scratch..... i am sorry that this is taking longer that we both exspected, but i am trying. Confused
