Hello, and welcome to Coasterfreaks tutorial on how to make an icon sheet. i will be explaining how to make an icon sheet with easy step-by-step pictured instructions.
The first thing you need to do is gather all your pictures that you want to use for an icon, and resize them(pictures) to 64X64. Now i use Photoshop to resize my images, and to make my icon sheets.
Once you've got your icons resized to 64X64, you then want to create an icon sheet. To do this is open up a new file, and size it to 512X512 . see below

Now open up the folder where you have saved all of your 64X64 icons, and select the icon that you want to use as your theme/set logo. now with photoshop, i am able to click and drag my icon image to the 512X512 icon sheet and put the icon at the top left corner. see below

IMPORTANT: Make sure that you go from left to right, and when the first row is completed, then you want to start on the next row below, at the left again, and work to the right. see below

If i know that majority of my background is going to be in white on my icon pic. then i use a black background on my icon sheet. this helps me to where i don't get a gap between the icon pictures, as white is hard to see on a white background, and you need the icons to be touching each other. If you have a colored background on your icon picture, then black or white icon sheet will do just fine.

Now i have a sample icon sheet that i have used for my House Specials 2 set. see below

This is what your icon sheet should basically look like now. Do not worry about the unfilled sections of the icon sheet. For you will not be useing it, unless you add more icons to your icon sheet.

Now that you have all of your icons in place, and situated where you want them, then it's time to save your icon sheet. Make sure that you put it somewhere that it'll be easy to find, because this is what you will be useing in the importer when it comes time to. Me personally, i have a folder with just icons, and a seperate folder for my icon sheets.

I hope that you find this tutorial helpful and easy to understand, i tried to simplify it a little more than the other tutorials that are out there. If you have any questions or comments about this tutorial, please ask in this thread, and i will try my best to help you out!
Thank you, C-freak

lego3366, yes, so far everything looks correct. you can use that as a logo and the icon for the object, just make sure that you click on the top line in the importer when making the scenery file.(.sid file)
