Hello everybody, I'm gonna show you the basics on importing your objects and textures.

First thing you want to do is open up the importer it should look like this, see below

surfingoz has an importing tutorial as well, but i'm gonna give you about 5-6 more pics.

Now the blue circle is where you select where your CS set is going to go. ex.generic,spooky...
The red circle is where you name the file and your CS set
The green circle is to create an .OVL file see below

The red circled area is where you add your textures that you used in the modeling program
The blue circle is where you put in the .ASE file that you have made from exporting your object. see below

Now click on the green circled "+" inside the red circle in the texture box and your screen should now look like this. see below

Now click on the little red circle and this is where you select the.ASE file that you just exported from your modeling program. Once you found the .ASE file, click on it, and your screen should now look like this. see below

This is where you add the texture to the object in the importer. you should see a yellow dot on the left of the name of object. in the red circled area is where you need to click on the right side of name under the texture label, and it'll scroll down. Select the texture for your group. see below

Now that you've selected the texture, click ok, green circled area. Now you want to set your LOD setting. Click on the "A" and your screen should look like this. see below

Now it's time to create the .OVL file. So now click on the create .OVL button and choose the destination that you want to keep your .OVL files. see below

The next tab is the icon texture. This is where you load your icon sheet. *note if you don't have an icon sheet, you need one for this part. see below

Now that you selected the icon texture tab, your screen should look like this. see below

Click on the red circled area in the texture manager box, you want to add your icon sheet, after you selected the add tab, you should have a new window oopen up like the one pictured above.
Click on the blue circled area to load your icon sheet.
Once you've selected your icon sheet click on the green circled area.

Now select the icon reference tab, the red circled area. see below

Now click on the "auto" tab circled in red. Now click ok, circled in green A new window will open up and just click on "OK" and your screen should look like this. see below

Now click on the "close" tab the green circled area. SO now click on the text strings tab, the red circled area. see below

Now that you've opened up the text strings box. you want to start adding your objects names. First you want to click on the "add" tab, the red circled area. type in your username, and then click copy, the orange circled area because you will be needing it. Then click "OK". For every object you must click on the "add" tab. see below

Now that you've got all the object names typed into the text strings settings, your screen should now look like this. see below

Now click on "close" the green circled area. Now click on the Scenery tab, the red circled area. see below

Now your screen should look like this. a blank .sid file. see below

Now comes the part we all dread............
I'v got this .sid file labeled with letters to guide you through this a little easier.
A- this is where you load your .OVL file that you had created
B- this is where you want to put your username
C-click on this drop down window and select the first line, everytime
D-click on this drop down window and select your username, everytime
E- now this is a little confuseing. click on the drop down window, now look at the top of the file, very top, it should have a number located there. Whatever the number is, select the line number after it. EX: the file number at the top is #5, i am going to select the sixth line, because this will be your seventh icon pic. Remember the first icon picture is your logo icon.
F-click on the drop down window and select the object name that you have chosen with the .OVL file that you have selected
G-click on this drop down window and select "wall misc."
H-click on this drop down window and select "none"
I- for the positions X,Y,and Z you want to put "0"(zeros) all the way down
J- for the size settings X,Y, and Z you want to put "4" all the way down
K-for the size in squares you want to put 1X1 in the X and Y spots
L-in the "placement flag" setting you want to click on the drop down window and select full tile
M-unknown1---0(unknown1)
-unknown2---1(unknown2)
N-unknown3---0
-unknown4---2
-unknown5---0
-unknown6---0
-unknown7---0
-unknown8---0
-unknown9---0
O-set flags as follows:
1,3,4,7,8,33,34,and36
------------now your screen should look like this. see below-----------------------------------

Now that you have everything completed in the .sid file now you can click on the "OK" tab "P"

Now you should be back at the main screen of the importer.Click on the red circled area to save your theme file. Once that is done, click on the "INSTALL" tab. the green circled area see below

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! you just imported your first CS piece or set into RCT3! Now it's time to test your object out in RCT3, to find out if there are any mistakes.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me. If i don't get back with you right away, then that's because i'm looking for the answer to your question!! I will post up a site from surfingoz, to where you can view his video tutorials, or read his written tutorials w/ pic.s also, plus he has pre-made .sid files.
I will also post another tutorial on the Custom Stall .sid files. There are extra tabs that you have to get into to make it a custom stall.

Thank you, and i hope that this tutorial has helped out in any way possible. C-freak

how exactly do you get/make an icon sheet? also, theres the element of other items such as : stalls, trees, effect points, particles, recolorability, etc etc.

lego, everything is cool, like i stated before, i wanted to be very basic as possible, i didn't want to go into everything right now. But i will make another tutorial, itt will mainly be the .sid file settings. They will not be my settings, that i use, these will be the .sid settings that Surfingoz had posted, and yes i do have his permission to post them here, so no worries about me stealing somebody elses work and calling it my own!

and to the others, like i said, i don't know why you cant see these pics. i used photobucket every time i post any pics in here. Now this is odd for some strange reason.
